Nature Photography Tips

Whether you’ve been taking photographs for years or recently picked up a camera, one fact remains the same: nature photography is a wonderful way to enjoy and appreciate the outdoors.

Not sure how to capture that perfect shot? Get started with these Top 5 Tips from Mass Audubon Camp Director and Photography Instructor Bob Speare.

And don’t forget to enter the Mass Audubon Picture This Photo Contest. We’re seeking photos that highlight people in nature and the beauty of Massachusetts wildlife and landscapes.

Up to 18 finalists will win a $100 gift card to redeem at a Mass Audubon shop or a wildlife sanctuary. One grand prize winner will be awarded a $250 gift card, in addition to being featured in Connections, our member newsletter. The deadline to enter is September 30!

Since the contest began in April, we’ve received some amazing photographs and each month we’ve been highlighting some on our Facebook page. Check them out and stay tuned during the first week of September to help select the August Facebook favorite!
