Capturing photos of birds in flight is a special challenge that requires great technical and artistic skill, as well as knowledge of avian behavior. Fortunately, our talented Photo Contest entrants are up to the task. Here are some of our favorite images.

Take 5: Fantastic Foxes

There are two species of fox in Massachusetts, the red fox and the gray fox. Both are secretive and wily, yet they’ve been favorite subjects of our Photo Contest photographers. Here are some of our favorite shots.
