Where in Mass Audubon Are We Now

In each issue of Explorations, Mass Audubon’s bi-monthly enewsletter, we share a photograph taken at one of our wildlife sanctuaries along with a hint. Can you identify where it was taken?

WhereAreWEDec2015

Along the 12 miles of trails at this wildlife sanctuary, you can traverse over stone bridges, proceed through a boulder tunnel, and watch for beavers and muskrats emerging from the river that runs through the property. Those looking for a unique, after-dark experience can spend the night in a small rustic cabin.

Email your guess by January 15 and you could win a pocket field guide.

#OptOutside with Us!

Looking for a place to #OptOutside on Friday? We have 50+ wildlife sanctuaries across the state, from Cape Cod to the Berkshires. On our hundreds of miles of trails you can take in ocean, pond, and river views; explore forests and fields; hike drumlins and eskers; stroll boardwalks and gravel paths; discover stone walls and observation towers; go on a Quest or play nature bingo; and enjoy solitude on benches or in bird blinds.

And, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to enjoy nature, we have 12 ADA-accessible, multi-sensory trails that offer a richer experience for visitors with a wide range of vision, hearing, and mobility levels.

Find a wildlife sanctuary and share your adventures with us! Tell us where you are heading in the comments, “check in” at the sanctuary via Facebook and/or Instagram, and be sure to tag #MassAudubon!
