Mass Audubon’s 2017 Photo Contest has officially begun!

2016 Grand Prize Winner: Harbor Seal Pup © Alex Shure

An underwater harbor seal pup.

A pileated woodpecker coming in for a landing.

Three boys diving into the water.

The sun setting over a marsh.

These are just a few of the photos that entranced the judges last year—and they can’t wait to see want you have in store for this year’s contest.

If you have photographs taken in Massachusetts (or at Mass Audubon’s Wildwood camp in New Hampshire) that show off everything from wildlife to scenic landscapes to people enjoying the wonders of nature, we want to see them!

The contest runs through September 30, 2017.

Every month we’ll highlight some of the entries on our Facebook page. Until then, happy snapping!Enter the contest

Make a Wish

Now that summer is almost here, what’s on your wish list? Picnicking on a perfect day, hiking with family and friends, or camping out under the stars—s’mores anyone?

You can do all this and more at Mass Audubon’s 56 wildlife sanctuaries. But to make this possible there are a few things on our wish list, including:

  • Maintain hundreds of miles of walking trails
  • Protect threatened diamondback terrapins and other wildlife
  • Welcome 10,000 kids—many with scholarship support – to our camps
  • Tend to pollinator-friendly native gardens found at many of our sanctuaries

You can help wishes come true! Your generosity will protect and care for these beautiful and important natural places, and the wildlife that depends on them.

Please make a gift today, then come visit your local Mass Audubon wildlife sanctuary to see what a difference your support makes. With your donation of $35 or more you’ll receive a Mass Audubon Magnet Set with four different wildlife designs.
