Starting Session 2 Off Right!

What a great day to be at Wildwood! Tuesday marks the first day of IG and DG programming and after orientation day, campers and staff were ready to kick off the session with plenty of fun and engaging programs.

Right after breakfast, the campers picked their first DGs from a big selection. Options included Sailing, Tie Dye, and “Rename The Forest”. It was tough to choose between all of them, but choose they did and headed off to IGs. The first day of IGs sets up the activity and gives an outline for what campers will learn and experience over the week.

During lunch, the whole camp was able to watch a rain storm come in over the pond, and leave us with sunny skies all throughout the course of the meal. You can’t beat New Hampshire summer weather! After lunch, the aforementioned DGs got underway. Check out some photos of some of those activities below.

In trekking news, the Footloose trek group hiked to Lonesome Lake on Monday which turned out to be a challenging and rewarding experience. The meal back at camp was then enjoyed by all as they settled in for a full day of rock climbing on Tuesday. More pictures to come as their leaders are able to send them.

Tonight is “Bring a Letter to Dinner” night so be on the lookout for letters arriving in the next few days and check back for another update later in the week!
