Session 1 2015, Week 2, Help our Staff!

We were in for an interesting day at camp today when our staff woke up and their special counselor powers were no longer working. This was an important enough issue that we tossed out the regular schedule, and had a special day full of fun events instead!

Campers split into groups as they moved from station to station, helping restore the staff’s powers so that they could soar through the rest of the week. Keeping us on our toes has been plenty of exciting wildlife sightings. Turtles, turkeys, and a porcupine all visited us over the last few days.

The trekkers on the Bike and Beach trek spent Tuesday kayaking with Mass Audubon’s Long Pasture sanctuary in Barnstable. They also found plenty of time to hang out on the beach! Today they are headed off to Nantucket to visit our Lost Farm sanctuary and the UMASS Field Station to spend time with their Junior Ranger program.

Still two full days left and we’re looking forward to lots more fun before departure day this Saturday. See you then!
