Session 6, fun in the sun!

On Sunday we welcomed in our final overnight camp session of 2014. Session 6 is here and we couldn’t be more excited about finishing off summer in such a great way! We couldn’t ask for better weather this week as cool mornings have led to warm afternoons full of sun and perfect for being outdoors.

This morning while our Session 6 campers got settled in with health and swim checks, the two-week campers played a new game, Fox Hunt, in the field. The afternoon was back to a typical camp schedule with DGs that took full advantage of the beautiful day.

Archery is always a popular activity and today was no different. Lots of new and returning archers took to the range to practice honing their skills on targets at varying distances. Some campers got into the camp spirit with face paint. If you think the campers look cool, you should see some of the crazy counselors! Farmer Sam hosted a Garden Party where campers got their hands dirty and learned more about tending gardens. The wind was just right today and many campers got the chance to try some sailing, while others on shore explored some of the algae and creatures found close to shore.

All of this so far and we’ve still got the rest of the week to go. I can’t wait to see what we get up to next!
