Session 3 – Week 2 plus Adirondacks Canoe and Acadia 2 Treks

Good Evening Everyone!

Wow, what a gorgeous day we had at camp today! So, let’s catch up on what’s been going on here…

On Saturday, we said goodbye to LITs, JCs and the Champlain Trek. On Sunday, we welcomed new LITs, new JCs, and the Acadia 2 Trek. We also sent off the Adirondack Trek – what a weekend! And we also had all the units off on camp outs!!!

So, we’re all back except the treks, which are going really well. The Adirondack trek is a couple days underway having a great time. The Acadia trek biked around Eagle Lake and explored Sand Beach today before heading back for a relaxing night around the campfire – good stuff!

It’s Unit Night tonight, and remember, Tuesday is “Bring a letter to dinner night”, so you’ll be seeing another letter soon. Groups are spread out all over camp doing some pretty cool stuff. The 13-14 year-old boys and girls are celebrating a cooler time with a Snow Ball this evening. Leopold was doing some really neat stuff in the Nature Center, while the Carson girls were keeping it cool in Hubbard Pond. Thoreau and Fossey are splitting time between the Field and Arts and Crafts. The LITs hiked out to Second Point, and the JCs are helping make all this happen!

Tomorrow is Special Event Day, so stay tuned for some more stories and pictures. I hope you see a familiar face tonight in the images below (we’re trying!). We’ll be back at least one more time for another update.

We hope you are enjoying this week too. Thanks for the cards, letters, and care packages – keep them all coming! Be back soon!

Best Wishes,
Bob

Love the pictures of all the happy campers with big smiles — thank you! But even more extraordinary are the 3 eggs in the nest and the frog. Any chance you tell us what kind of birds are expected to hatch from the 3 eggs?
