Good Evening Everyone,
A pretty hot day here at Wildwood, and we spent some good time in the shade and in and around the water too. It was a busy day with lots of different programs and activities happening all over camp. With just one week for the session, we've got to get it all in quickly! I saw folks exploring Hubbard Pond, catching dragonflies, sailing, doing drama, discovering some cool stuff in the forest, and even doing some engineering! From archery to poetry to Mario Cart Canoes, to volleyball, the afternoon was bustling with great fun as well.
We have some day campers from Moose Hill joining us for a portion of the week too, and they joined us for this evening's program – Mystery Night, which is like a giant game of Clue. Anyway, lots of pictures to take a peek at tonight. Thanks to Nurse Kathy for heading out with the camera!
But first, a couple of updates from our trekkers who are enjoying Acadia National Park this week. They all just called me from the top of Cadillac Mountain, and by the sound of things, they were getting a healthy breeze. They are having a great time though – today they worked with the Acadia Wildlife Foundation helping out with a couple interesting projects there. I know they got to see their resident river otter! They've also visited the town of Bar Harbor, hit the beach, went for a drip, covered the Bee Hive trail (twice it was so good the first time), and tomorrow they pick up bikes and visit the carriage roads of the park. There's still a lot in store for this group, who will be out there until Sunday. I'll keep you updated as they call in.
