Session 3 and LITs and Lake Champlain

Good evening everyone, and here at camp what a gorgeous evening it is! We saw some rain last night and on and off throughout most of the day today until later in the afternoon when the sun came out and we had a pleasant OATS and Unit Night tonight.

The Lake Champlain trek got off yesterday with Vermont’s Green Mountains as their first destination. Tomorrow they’ll head to Lake Champlain to learn about this amazing area. I’ll pass along any updates, but it look’s like they are in for a great week of fun in the sun!

Out LITs are in their second and final week with us. They returned on Sunday from a terrific trip to Mt. Greylock, and now they’ve settled back into the routine of camp. I know the final four days will be plenty exciting for them.

Our JC’s are in their final week with us as well after being here for 4 weeks. Its really amazing how a group of teens can come together and make such a positive impact on camp in such a short period of time! It won’t be the same without them.

OK, so I was able to get around a little today and get some pictures of the first activities that our session 3 campers have been involved with so far. As usual, some of the guys are pretty camera shy, but we’ll get them, don’t worry.

So, look for a familiar face taking part in Nature Art, Drama, Dirt to Dinner, Wild Edibles, as well as Unit Night on the beach, Kayaking, Canoeing, Swimming, and the Carson girls getting their nails done and horoscopes read. You’ll also see that the tomatoes are almost ready and that we had a fun visitor pass through camp a few days back.

Click on an image to make it larger. Enjoy and we’ll be back again soon!
