Session 1 – Weekend Fun!

Hello everyone out in the real world. Today we are in the middle of our weekend camp-outs, and the end of our first Acadia National Park Teen Trek.

The trekkers returned last night after having a terrific week at Acadia. For many it was their first trip up there, but I’ll bet for most, not their last. We still have a few spaces for other upcoming treks, so if your trekker is looking for more fun and adventure this summer, give us a call!

Our first session of LITs continues to be a strong and positive force here at camp. Among the many programs and projects they have been involved with was their facilitation of our evening program – Heffalump Hunt. It was the best one ever – thanks to their hard work. You’ll see some pictures below of some of the “lumps”.

Also, our Junior Counselors have been doing a wonderful job, filling in basically everywhere at camp. Today, they are headed up to Monadnock to meet up with Dillard and Abbey (our 13 and 14 year-old units) to enjoy that famous hike.

Yesterday the 9-12 year-old girls headed to First Point and Second Point for an overnight of tenting and fun campfire activities. Today the 9-12 year-old boys head out for their turn.

The weather has been hot, but beautiful, and we’re keeping cool in the shade and in the pond! We’re looking forward to our second week with a really great bunch of campers! We hope you’ll do well without them for one more week!

Below, we’ve got some images from our Polar Bear Swim, our party-themed lunch, Heffalump Hunt, sailing, and the girl’s camp-out. We sent a camera to Monadnock, so I’m sure we’ll have some interesting photos from there as well when they return tomorrow. Stay tuned!
