Meet The Meats Of Moose Hill

Looking for a compliment of beef to pair with your CSA vegetables? Or a steak to grill this weekend? Well you are in luck!

In collaboration with the Trustees (a neighboring conservation organization), we are now offering a variety of cuts of beef for sale at distribution.  All cattle are raised on Trustees farms using practices designed to maintain sustainability and animal health.  The pastures and oak woodlands of Moose Hill Farm in Sharon, Powisset Farm in Dover, and Weir River Farm in Hingham provide the cattle with stress free grazing conditions that results in top quality meat. The cuts we are offering for sale at distribution include the following:

  • Everyday Steaks
    • Chuck Steak
    • Flat Iron Steak
    • Bottom Round Steak
    • Eye Round Steak
  • Beef Short Ribs
  • Ground Beef
  • T-bone Steaks
  • Porter House Steaks

If you are looking for a particular cut, please inquire at distribution and we can check the availability of the cut.

CSA Pickup: Week 4

As we enter into Week 4 of CSA distribution, we are still enjoying a steady harvest of strawberries, as well as a bountiful crop of peas for Pick-Your-Own (PYO).

For this week’s pickup, look forward to…

Remember that Monday is fish pickup for those of you with fish.

We are now selling pasture raised beef from the Trustees of the Reservation in addition to honey, maple syrup, and spices.

CSA Pickup: Week 1

Welcome back to the Moose Hill Community Farm CSA ! Here is what you can expect for the first week of distribution…

  • Basil Cup (Remember to pick first then plant)
  • Spring Onions

  • Lettuce
  • Spring Garlic

Remember to collect your eggs, for those who ordered them, and to bring bags for your vegetables.

Furthermore, we will have our honey and maple syrup for sale, as well as spices from local vendor Organic Green Kitchen.
