A Fruitful Season for Drumlin Farm Winter Crops

A note from Sarah Lang, Assistant Farmer

It’s hard to believe, but spring is rapidly taking over here at Drumlin Farm! We want to thank our winter CSA members for sharing the bounty of the 2015 harvest season.

Curious about your investment?

The total value of this year’s share was $893.75 for regular shares; half shares received half the value of Regular Shares. That’s a 78% value increase! Greens share members received $65 worth of greens, a 30% return. We always strive to provide extra value in return for your pre-season investment in the farm, and last year’s growing season was spectacular.

As we wait for the fields to thaw and dry out, we’re busily preparing for spring planting. Each week we seed a few more crops in the greenhouse. Production really ramps up in March; it won’t be long before the greenhouse is bursting at the seams! We still have a few summer CSA shares available.

What’s your go-to for farm-fresh recipes? Do you follow a particular food blog or chef? What’s your favorite winter veggie recipe(s)? We’re assembling Drumlin Farm Community picks for next winter season and would love to hear yours! Please send them to [email protected].

See you in the fields,

Your Farmers
