Welcoming Campers & Summer Visitors

School is out and Camp is in, but lots of kids will still be learning while having fun at Drumlin Farm Day Camp. Farm Mania began on Monday, June 24, with a couple hundred campers ready for an exciting week of hands on farm activities—exploring the farmyard and fields, helping out with farm chores, and sampling fresh vegetables or our strawberries with fresh whipped cream they make themselves.

Campers

Starting on July 1, Seekers, Explorers, Naturalists, Biologists, Farm Ecologists—to name a few of our camp units—will create unique experiences on the farm and wilder sides of Drumlin Farm’s fields, forests, and wetlands.

Our youngest campers develop their connection to natural communities through guided explorations and play, older campers help with farm chores in the farmyard and the fields and assist with data collection at the wetlands and in the forest. Our oldest campers also get to experience the ins and outs of how our sanctuary works from farm operations to caring for our captive wildlife and conserving critical habitats for people and wildlife.

All this is happening while Drumlin Farm welcomes visitors, young and old, to our farmyard and trails. On your next visit to Drumlin Farm, you may see our campers exploring, discovering, smiling, resting, or playing. Or you may only hear their laughs and cheers as they encounter a toad passing by or spot a red-tailed hawk overhead.

It’s those laughs and cheers that remind us of our goal: to develop an appreciation of nature and an understanding of the inter-connectedness of people, land, and wildlife. Each year, we are thrilled to see so many parents and kids sign up for our camps. To share these programs with even more families (and lighten our footprint on Drumlin Farm), we now offer two satellite camps, both located in Sudbury:

Programs for children of all ages are still available at both satellite locations as well as at Drumlin Farm Mini Camps.
