Whether\u00a0you are a member, donor, volunteer, or enjoyed one of our programs or special events, thank you for helping us continue to protect the nature of<br \/>\nMassachusetts for people and wildlife!<\/p>\n<p>Here, a look at a few of the year&#8217;s\u00a0accomplishments (plus a preview of what&#8217;s in store for next year):<\/p>\n<h3>62%<\/h3>\n<p>of cities and towns\u00a0in Massachusetts have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/learn\/schools-groups\/programs-for-schools\">Mass\u00a0Audubon educators<\/a>\u00a0working in their public and\u00a0private schools.<\/p>\n<h3>265<\/h3>\n<p>acres of land protected in the last 12 months bringing our total to\u00a035,754 conserved acres. These\u00a0goats help manage the land by\u00a0eating invasive plants, and they\u00a0also entertain curious visitors.<\/p>\n<h3>200,000<\/h3>\n<p><em>Galerucella<\/em> beetles\u00a0were released by Mass Audubon\u2019s\u00a0ecological management department in\u00a0an effort to control purple loosestrife,\u00a0an invasive plant degrading wetlands.<\/p>\n<h3>Looking ahead, in 2016&#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>We will open even more universally accessible trails, focus our land protection\u00a0efforts on parcels identified by our scientists as the\u00a0highest priority for conservation, produce the next <em>State of the Birds<\/em> report, and so much more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/secure2.convio.net\/mas\/site\/Donation2?3960.donation=form1&amp;df_id=3960\">Your year-end gift<\/a> will make an impact by supporting important projects like these in the year ahead.
