Sunbeams appear when clouds, tree branches, or other barriers break up sunlight, and small particles such as ice crystals or water droplets scatter it. Many of our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/news-events\/photo-contest\" target=\"_blank\">Photo Contest<\/a> photographers have used their skill and timing to capture these bright bars.
