Would you enjoy learning more and spending time with like-minded educators? Hosted by Climate Generation: A Will Steger Legacy, in partnership with NOAA&#8217;s Climate Program Office and The Wild Center&#8217;s Youth Climate Program, the <em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.climategen.org\/our-core-programs\/climate-change-education\/professional-development\/summer-institute\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Summer Institute for Climate Education<\/a><\/strong><\/em> is a virtual conference that brings together educators from across the country. The theme for 2021 is &#8220;A Regrounding in Truth.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This three-day event will provide educators with skills, tools, and resources to teach climate change concepts and empower students in all subject areas. The Northeast regional cohort will be led by Mass Audubon&#8217;s Nia Keith (VP for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, &amp; Justice) and Brittany Gutermuth (Climate Education Coordinator at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Registration deadline is July 19.<\/strong> Total cost per attendee is $250; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.climategen.org\/our-core-programs\/climate-change-education\/professional-development\/summer-institute\/teach-climate-scholarship-application\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">scholarships<\/a> available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>July 28\u201330, 2021 \u2022 10 am\u20135 pm ETVirtual Conference Do you teach about climate issues?
