There are so many great things you can see\u2014birds, butterflies, dragonflies, wildflowers\u2026 the list goes on!<\/p>\n<p>Outdoor adventures can be as varied as what you might see while you\u2019re exploring. Duck into shady woods for some relief from direct sunlight and take a nature walk, or a more vigorous hike if you\u2019re looking for a longer, more physical activity.<\/p>\n<p>For those who prefer to be out on the water during the hot summer days, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/news\/newsstory2.php?id=1026&amp;type=news\" target=\"_blank\">kayaking or canoeing<\/a><\/strong> can be a great way to enjoy sunshine while staying cool. Or, take to the water by night during an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/catalog\/short_results.php?sanctuary_code=all&amp;start_date=&amp;end_date=mm\/dd\/yyyy&amp;kw=evening%20canoe&amp;selected_page=1\" target=\"_blank\">evening canoe trip<\/a><\/strong> with Broadmoor in Natick or Wellfleet Bay on the Cape\u2014a perfect ending to a summer day and you\u2019ll be able to see some wild nightlife.<\/p>\n<p>Not much of a paddler?\u00a0Joppa Flats Education Center is hosting<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/catalog\/short_results.php?sanctuary_code=7&amp;start_date=&amp;end_date=mm\/dd\/yyyy&amp;kw=cruise&amp;selected_page=1\" target=\"_blank\">cruises<\/a><\/strong> all summer long that will get you out on water looking for seabirds and marine mammals (that&#8217;s right\u2014 whale watching!).\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/catalog\/short_results.php?sanctuary_code=28&amp;start_date=&amp;end_date=mm\/dd\/yyyy&amp;kw=cruise&amp;selected_page=1\" target=\"_blank\">Long Pasture<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/catalog\/short_results.php?sanctuary_code=20&amp;start_date=&amp;end_date=mm\/dd\/yyyy&amp;exclude_camps=checked&amp;kw=cruise&amp;selected_page=1\" target=\"_blank\">Wellfleet Bay<\/a><\/strong> also offer cruises throughout the summer off the Cape.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.massaudubon.org\/yourgreatoutdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2012\/06\/summerBingo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-200\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.massaudubon.org\/yourgreatoutdoors\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/20\/2012\/06\/summerBingo.jpg\" width=\"180\" height=\"189\" \/><\/a>By land, you can go on an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/catalog\/listing.php?program_code=250-PV12SU1\" target=\"_blank\">insect safari<\/a><\/strong> with Pleasant Valley in Lenox, join <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/catalog\/short_results.php?sanctuary_code=4&amp;start_date=&amp;end_date=mm\/dd\/yyyy&amp;exclude_camps=checked&amp;kw=elm%20park&amp;selected_page=1\" target=\"_blank\">free weekly programs<\/a><\/strong> in Worcester, or take a nature walk with the Connecticut River Valley Sanctuaries at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.massaudubon.org\/catalog\/listing.php?program_code=383-AR12SU1\" target=\"_blank\">Hawley Bog<\/a><\/strong> on July 8th\u2014a great place to see blooming orchids and native insectivorous plants.
