Go on a Saturday Morning Bird Walk for Adults at Broad Meadow Brook in Worcester. We’ll teach you the basics of birding and bird identification during an easy-to-moderate walk along the trails.  (adults, registration required)

Search out avian activity in the Newburyport/Plum Island area, one of the best year-round birding locations in the country, as part of Saturday Morning Birding. Beginners and birders of all levels are welcome. (adults)

Greater Boston

Would you like to support the Boston Nature Center while enjoying time outside? Spend your Saturday Morning Volunteering to help with the gardens and invasive plant control! If the weather does not cooperate, there are plenty of indoor projects to be completed as well. (adults and children 8+)

Bring the kids to go on a Spider Web Walk at Boston Nature Center. Investigate all the different habitats where spiders can be found and put together a spider identification book to take home. (families, registration encouraged)

Savor the last remnants of summer, enjoy some time outdoors, and learn about butterflies at the annual Allens Pond Butterfly Census in South Dartmouth! (families, registration required)

During Family Ponding at Tidmarsh in Plymouth, explore the pond and its banks search for some of the amazing creatures who call it home. Use nets and hand lenses to see tadpoles, frogs, fish, and other critters up close! (families, registration required)

Listen to a fun story, play a nature game, explore the sanctuary, or meet one of our animals as part of Saturday Morning Storytime at Oak Knoll in Attleboro. (registration required)

Cape Cod and Islands

Enjoy a breathtaking Sunset Kayak Tour on Sengekontacket Pond on Martha’s Vineyar. Relax, unwind, and appreciate the painted sky like never before while paddling the waters. As the sun sets, see the natural world come to a tranquil peace as you float and relish the view. (adults and children ages 14+, registration required)

Join Long Pasture for Cuttyhunk And Penikese Cruise, a day-long excursion on a privately chartered boat. As we make our way to Penikese we’ll cruise through Vineyard Sound and Buzzards Bay along the Elizabeth Islands, with commentary focusing on landmarks, geology, wildlife, and the history of the quiet, protected islands. (All ages, registration required)

During Seabirds and Seals at High Head in Truro hike along a sand road through the dunes to the Atlantic where we’ll search for jaegers, shearwaters, and other oceanic birds. We may also have an opportunity to see gray seals resting on a sandbar and swimming. (adults, registration required)
