During Growing Food: Mushrooms in the Garden at Boston Nature Center, learn simple and advanced techniques for growing your own gourmet mushrooms. This free 3-hour workshop covers 3 different types of mushrooms cultivation: logs, cardboard, and wood chips. (All ages, registration required)

As part of Lost Towns of the Quabbin: A Natural and Historical Field Trip, take a hike back to the 19th century and discover the once thriving community of Dana, one of the four towns lost when the area was flooded to form the Quabbin Reservoir. On this four-mile round trip walk, we will journey on an old road through the open forest, with stops along the way to explore the history and wildlife of the region. (Adults, registration required)
