Greater Boston

Go on a Full Moon Owl Prowl at Broadmoor in Natick to explore the sanctuary under moonlit skies listening for our resident screech, barred, and great horned owls. (families with children ages 6+, registration required)

During the Women’s Wellness Guided Workshop at Moose Hill in Sharon, give yourself 3 hours to get away and learn how to take a deep “breath”, re-balance, and renew! (adults, registration required)

Do you have thousands of digital photos and are having trouble organizing or processing them? Join wildlife photographer and Mass Audubon instructor Shawn Carey for Take Control of Your Digital Photos: Adobe Lightroom Workshop at the Museum of American Bird Art in Canton. (adults, registration required)

Explore art and science using fallen leaves as part of Leaf Man at Blue Hills Trailside Museum in Milton. After we read Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert, we’ll go outside to make discoveries about colors, shapes, and textures. After we explore, we’ll come back inside and create our own leaf art. (families, registration required)

Take a short hike at the Boston Nature Center to observe the fascinating Autumn Colors. Learn how and why leaves change color, and make beautiful autumn leaf sun-catchers to take home. (families, registration required)

During this month’s Autumn Art Explorations at Ipswich River in Topsfield, walk the sanctuary looking for natural items to make a mobile and explore the effects of the wind on trees, shrubs, grasses, birds, clouds, and more. (families, registration required)

Use your best night vision skills as you walk and listen to calls of multiple species of owls and learn more about each species during a Full Moon Owl Prowl at Allens Pond in South Dartmouth. (adults and children, registration required)
