Hey Everyone,
I could say I’m getting sick of saying how great the weather is, but I know better! What a great day again yesterday and today! We are rolling along at full tilt here, making sure we we end up on a really high note with just about a day left!
I heard again from the White Mountain rock climbers yesterday who’s text said, “Hanging Out 450 feet into today’s 550 foot route on Cathedral Cliff.” And here’s a few pictures they sent me from that 450 foot location;
They’ll be back at camp tomorrow afternoon for a final night at Wildwood.
Meanwhile, here at Wildwood Central, there’s been a ton of neat stuff happening. More wildlife sightings, including some great tracks of raccoon and fox that were discovered on a tracking DG yesterday. Also I’ve got a couple pictures below of a red-spotted newt, and a red-spotted purple (butterfly). Also our DG board, where campers makes their DG selections each morning.
Otherwise, we’ve got pictures from some crazy night that Dillard had in the dining hall (I probably don’t want to know!), our morning bird walk before breakfast yesterday, some time on the ropes course for Carson. And also some general fun around camp.
I got to have lunch with the JCs today to mark an amazing four weeks of terrific assistance at camp from each of them. They are busy tonight helping with our evening program – Stock Market right now. What a great bunch!
We’re winding down, but the fun machine is still chugging along. One more great day left! I hope yours will be wonderful too!
See you on Saturday!
