Week 15 Pickup List

Hi all,

As the season winds down, a few new crops will become available to us after this week, including acorn and butternut squash. Many crops are declining seeing that the weather is changing, and sadly the lifespan of certain veggies are coming to an end. This will most likely be the last week of eggplant, tomatoes– which have stopped producing fruit — dragon tongue beans, all varieties of melons, and cantaloupe. Because of the very limited amount of tomatoes, the “buy a bucket of tomatoes” option has also ended.

Several other crops such as corn, cucumbers, zucchini, and squash will be available in small quantities for only part of this week since there will not be enough to last for every distribution day. We are planning however, to divide the distribution of crops such that there will be enough variety for the final week.

While we haven’t reached the finish line yet, we are all very grateful to our shareholders for making this a wonderful year, which is why I would love to see everyone at the CSA barn on September 11 for the potluck! Event will go from noon until 2 pm; you are welcome to bring friends and family, as well as a dish of your choice. Here is this week’s list:
